Getting Started

How do I create an account on Bidvertize?

Creating an account is quick and easy! Just follow these steps for registering on Bidvertize:

  1. Click the "Sign In" link from the top menu bar
  2. Click the "Register" link from the bottom-right of the "Sign In" modal
  3. Enter your email address (we will validate it in upcoming steps)
  4. Create a secure password
  5. Verify your email with the code we send you on email
  6. Complete your profile and start posting!

Or you can login using your Google account! Just follow these steps (it's quick and easy):

  1. Click the "Add Listing" button at the top-right of any page (green button with a "+")
  2. Click the "Connect with Google" link at the top of the "Sign In" modal
  3. Select the Google account you prefer to connect through or proceed create a Google account depending on your preferences at this stage
  4. Click "Continue"
  5. to grant Bidvertize the displayed permissions
  6. You will be redirected back to Bidvertize, and you are now logged in using your Google account authority
  7. Complete your profile and start posting!

The entire process takes less than 2 minutes, and it's completely free.

Is Bidvertize free to use?

Yes! Bidvertize is free to use for basic listings. You can:

  • Create an account for free
  • Post up to 10 listings at no cost in virtually all categories
  • Browse and search all listings
  • Contact sellers directly
  • Manage your listings from your dashboard

We also offer premium features like featured listings for users who want extra visibility.

What can I buy or sell on Bidvertize?

Bidvertize supports a wide variety of categories including:

  • Vehicles - Cars, motorcycles, trucks
  • Property - Houses, apartments, land for sale or rent
  • Electronics - Phones, laptops, TVs, cameras
  • Services - Plumbing, cleaning, tutoring, etc.
  • Jobs - Post job openings or find work
  • Home & Garden - Furniture, appliances, tools

As long as it's legal and follows our terms of service, you can list it!

Managing Listings

How do I post a listing?

Posting a listing is simple:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Click the "Add Listing" button at the top-right of any page (green button with a "+")
  3. Choose the appropriate category
  4. Add a clear title and detailed description
  5. Upload photos/images
  6. Add any other attributes that may apply to the category you are posting to
  7. Click "Submit Listing" button

Your listing will go live immediately and be visible to millions of potential buyers across the globe.

How many photos can I upload?

You can upload as many photos per listing. We recommend uploading high-quality images that show:

  • Different angles of the item
  • Close-ups of important features
  • Any defects or wear (for transparency)
  • The item in good lighting

Tip: Listings with multiple clear photos get up to 5x more views than those with just one photo!

Can I edit my listing after posting?

Yes! You can edit your listing anytime:

  1. Click your username link from the top menu bar
  2. Click on "Listings"
  3. Find the listing you want to edit
  4. Click the listing title to bringup the listing in "Edit" mode
  5. Make your changes and click Save Changes button

You can update the price, description, photos, and any other details whenever needed.

How long do listings stay active?

Free listings remain active for 30 days. After 30 days, you can:

  • Renew your listing for another 30 days (free)
  • Edit and republish it
  • Let it expire if the item has been sold

Premium listings stay active for 30 days depending on the package you choose.

Account Settings

How do I change my profile picture?

To update your profile picture:

  1. Click your username link from the top menu bar
  2. Click on "Settings"
  3. From "Profile Image (optional)" click "Select Image" button, or remove the current one and click "Select Image" button
  4. Select an image from your device
  5. The image will upload in the background, whilst controls are deactivated
  6. Once image upload completes effect any other changes to your profile and click "Save Changes" button

Tip: A clear profile picture helps build trust with potential buyers!

How do I reset my password?

If you've forgotten your password (if you are already logged in):

  1. Click your username link from the top menu bar
  2. Click on "Settings"
  3. Enter your new password in "New Password (optional)" (you may have to scroll down to find it)
  4. Enter your old (current) password in "Current Password (optional)"
  5. Click "Save Changes" button

Or if you are not logged in:

  1. Click the "Sign In" link from the top menu bar
  2. Click the "Forgot password?" link from the bottom of the "Sign In" modal to bring up the "Reset Password" modal
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Click "Send Email" button
  5. Click the "Password Reset" link we send you on email
  6. Enter your new password in "New Password" field in the "Reset Password" form
  7. Click "Reset Password" button to change your passord

If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or contact support.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, you can delete your account at any time:

  1. Click your username link from the top menu bar
  2. Click on "Settings"
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page
  4. Enter your password in the "Delete Account" modal
  5. Click "Delete Account" button to confirm your decision

Warning: This action is permanent and cannot be undone. All your listings, messages, and data will be deleted.

Payments & Pricing

What payment methods do you accept?

For premium features, we accept:

  • Mobile Money - EcoCash, OneWallet, Telecash (for Zimbabwe)
  • Bank Transfer - All major Zimbabwean banks
  • Credit/Debit Cards - Visa and Mastercard
  • PayPal - For international users

All transactions are secure and encrypted for your safety.

How much does it cost to post a listing?

Basic listings are FREE! You can post up to 10 items at no cost.

Premium options include:

  • Featured Listing - price depends on listing category (appears at top of search)

Premium listings get up to 10x more views than regular listings.

Do you take a commission on sales?
+

No! Bidvertize does not take any commission on your sales. All payments happen directly between buyer and seller.

We only charge for optional premium features. You keep 100% of your sale price.

NB: We only charge commission when your products are routed through the online store.Routing/selling through the online store increases your sales as the store offers safeguards to buyers thereby increasing trust on the part of the buyer..
